 ABSTRACT

According to the limited fossil energy resources, renewable energies sources are increasingly used these days. A new line in the case of hydraulic power stations is to use hydroelectric pumped storage power plant. In these stations the needs of power system in the peak hours provide with water-storage in the upstream reservoirs. As a result of this method confidence of the stability of the power networks is provided to a great extent.

This article introduces a new strategy to constructing a hydroelectric pumped storage power plant as a safe energy source for a special power system by taking required energy from the seabed in this station.

Key Words: Hydro Power Plant, Pumped Storage, Power System Security, Demand Factor, Sea Energy, HPSP.

INTRODUCTION

Since electricity production is one of the economic power bases and also a welfare parameter of life for people in the country, increased production and value-added are more attended to in recent decades. While renewable energies play an important role according to limitations and existing problems in use of fossil energy resources, researchers and experts are interested in the field of the best productivity and making new ideas.

In this article we are going to introducing the hydroelectric pumped storage power plant briefly and then to explain this technology and its advantages.
